K2 is a modern lounge chair designed by busk+hertzog. The shell is in moulded combination foam (hard/soft) and the optional swivel or sled base is in brushed stainless steel. The design has an asymmetric shape, which besides the very strong visual identity, also offers a high degree of functionality. The design allows various seating positions for increased comfort – in perfect harmony with the contemporary use of lounge furniture. The name K2 refers to the world’s most challenging mounting to climb, and was an obvious choice when naming the chair, which both during the initial design phase as from a technical production point of view, has been a real challenge to realize. The organic shape and the high handicraft quality make the K2 very suitable indeed for lobbies and foyers. The furniture’s captivation is the same from all angles, and it is therefore very suitable as a freestanding chair.
